Al Amjad Tawfiq Isstaif is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge’s Department of Computer Science and Technology, where he also earned his PhD. His research focuses on optimising server resource management in constrained environments, addressing software bottlenecks that limit hardware utilisation. From 2014 to 2018, he led technology-driven initiatives to empower conflict-affected youth in two major Syrian cities, with many projects supported and replicated by UN agencies. Committed to open-source technologies, sustainable development, and addressing the protection gap in the Global South, he now serves as Senior Technical Architect at Crosure.
