Dr. Zeynep Engin is Founding Director and Chair of Data for Policy CIC and Founding Editor-in-Chief of Data & Policy (Cambridge University Press). With over 20 years in AI — from theoretical machine learning to governance innovation — she leads pioneering work in Digital Statecraft, Human–AI Governance, and Algorithmic Government. Her initiatives, supported by bodies such as UKRI, The Alan Turing Institute, and the European Commission, shape strategic, responsible, and citizen-focused uses of data and technology worldwide. Dr. Engin holds a PhD from Imperial College London and has held fellowships and research posts at the University of Cambridge, UCL, and Tokyo Tech.
